PLACEMENTS
When a Wellness Advocate signs up under you, you can place your new enrollee down in your team within 14 days after enrollment. You will always be considered the enroller and therefore get the Fast Start Bonus for the first 60 days.
Why should you consider placing people down on your team? Well, for starters when you have teams below you, you grow up in rank. Also, it helps your builders below you reach their rank, so it's a win-win.
When you move somebody down your line, they won't get an alert because you are still the enroller.
(FYI When a Wholesale Customer signs up under you, you can place your new enrollee down in your team within 14 days, THEN if they upgrade to a Wellness Advocate within 90 days, you will be given another 14 days to move them to another spot if you need to.)

***UPDATE*** The wholesale customer option has now replaced the preferred member option. You cannot place below a wholesale customer, so you may find the below video not relevant, however, in the video, the purpose was to show that even if you DO place below a builder who doesn't build, you can still make a larger income through having a deeply built team:)

TRANSFERS
What if you miss the 14-day window or you made a mistake in placement?
For starters, you should call dōTERRA at 801-615-7200 as soon as you realize this mistake because sometimes they can make exceptions if it is within the same month that you enrolled them.
Listed below are the rules if you missed the window or you have any of the circumstances listed.
I need to move somebody to a different place on my team.
WHAT TO DO: Submit an exceptions form
If you've passed the 14-day window when you initially enrolled them, you'll need to submit an exceptions form to doTERRA to request this move. t's a form that requires the person who wants to transfer to get the signatures of the 7 uplines above them.
HOW YOU DO IT: You'll need to send a document to these people via DocuSign. Watch the video below for instructions.

*** This option takes 30 days to have the exceptions committee to decide***
Somebody wants to transfer to my team, but they already have a doTERRA account:
- OPTION #1 - Have them send an email
If they haven't ordered through their account within 6 months, all they have to do is send this email to [email protected]:"Hi, My name is [WA's FULL NAME] and my ID # is [YOUR ID]. I would like to transfer under the leader [YOUR FULL NAME] as my enroller. I'd like my sponsor to be [INSERT NAME & ID of WHERE SHE WILL BE PLACED - leave out this section if you want her on your frontline] Her ID # is [YOUR ID]. My account has been inactive for 6 months. Thanks, [WA's FULL NAME]"After she sends the email, she'll get a confirmation in a day or so that they've received it and will process it. When it's completed she'll get a second email and you should be able to see her on your graphical tree in your backoffice. - OPTION #2 - Submit an exceptions form.
(instructions above) - OPTION #3 - Use a 3rd party.
The third option is to have her sign her mom or sister or somebody up and then basically have the person work through her account and immediately cancel their old account. Just know that while in the future she can *try* to get the sister's account into her name, it isn't always accepted so she may have to work through that sister's account long-term.
I want to transfer a NEW person into an EXISTING Wellness Advocate's spot:
- IF the new person has an existing account on YOUR TEAM:
This is only possible if the new person HASN'T upgraded to a Wellness Advocate yet. This timing on this has to be perfect for doTERRA to allow it.1) Have the new & existing account holder BOTH sign the transfer form.
2) Have the existing account holder send the completed form + certificate of completion to [email protected] (this MUST come from the existing account holder's email address that is on file with her doterra account)
3) Once you KNOW it was sent in, have the new person upgrade to a Wellness Advocate in her backoffice THEN have the enroller request that this person be moved to the same sponsor placement as the existing account holder (both on same line). - IF the new person has never had an account:
1) Have the new & existing account holder BOTH sign the transfer form.
2) Have the existing account holder send the completed form + certificate of completion to [email protected] (this MUST come from the existing account holder's email address that is on file with her doterra account)
3) Once you KNOW it was sent in, have the new person enroll as a Wellness Advocate THEN have the enroller place the person on the SAME LINE as the existing account (both on same line). - IF the new person has an existing account on ANOTHER TEAM:This is a bit tricky, as doTERRA typically doesn't allow this. There is, however one exception to the rule:"If she has an old account, she cannot transfer into an existing spot. The only exception to the matter is if her account was inactive for 6 months before this new account, (The one she wants to transfer into) was created. If not, she cannot have a duplicate account through a family member because our auditing team would catch that and enforce our policies with that."This transfer will be submitted in the same way as above.
DOING A SWAP
FROM DOTERRA:
"A Swap is when two accounts that are frontline to each other swap their accounts and inherit each other's downline. This is not the most effective move, but it only works in the following scenario. For example, let's say that you wanted to stop building and someone on your frontline does want to build. You would swap positions and inherit the downline and enrollerships of the person that had them. Everything would switch including rank & enrollership of people. This is only if someone in a key position wants to stop building."
If you have two people who are frontline to each other (meaning there is one right on top of the other) then you can have their accounts swapped.
doTERRA offers this because sometimes the person below is more interested in building than the person in the higher position.
If this is the case on your team, you can submit the following paperwork to get your people swapped.
- Transfer form from person A to person B
- Transfer form from person B to person A
- Exceptions form for person B (the person currently in the lower position)
- NOTE: In the reason box, be sure to use words like long-term mentoring, & team growth so they know this move is to help grow & support the team better.
After you have all the forms filled out, submit it to [email protected] and put the following in the email:
Wellness Advocate requesting change: YOUR NAME & ID#
Wellness Advocate to be SWAPPED: person A & ID# & person B & ID number

- After the document is filled out, download it and send it to [email protected]
You should get email updates as it's in process -- it can take up to a month to be approved.
